I’ve been away for a few weeks and I didn’t have the opportunity to write about:
- The importance of colors of post its on Scrum board (to be released, soon),
- The estimation matrix for Epic stories (to be released.. later)
- Use case description layout and review matrix for acceptance testing (ok, this looks horrible but in fact it’s just about summarizing your needs for acceptance testing)
- Some books reviews (Re-Work, Agile retrospectives,…)
- Other stuff I’ve been thinking about recently…
Indeed, I was preparing an admission exam, inspired by the famous GMAT, so I had to study a lot of mathematics stuff. It was generally refreshing and instructive to have a look at arithmetics and algebra from a new perspective. I would definitely recommend Kaplan preparation books and Magoosh online tests for the ones interested.
So, now, I’m back to the board and eager to write again.
I just wanted to share some nice links I’ve discovered the last days:
- Two important links about artificial intelligence, and more specifically neuronal network programation:
- Computer predictions based on news data. This program found Bin Laden in a 200kms range. Still, it’s progressing.
- IBM Synapse. Or the future of neuronal network programation. Is the Turing Machine back?
- I found a lot of very nice sites on this page. Using all these apps seems impossible, but it gives an idea of the future of our IT experience. Standalone software is losing field, for sure.
- A new era of collaboration is rising. This site allows people from all around the world to share their competencies based for all stages of software development. And it seems to work. I would like to try it one day when I managed to have more time. What is the added value of a project manager in this kind of contexts? Hyperspecialization leads to new frameworks of management. Is this Agile? Somehow, yes. I’ll write about this later.

- Some funny stuff:
- Movies posters revamped.
- Iphone – Android – Blackberry users. This is so true. Especially the « How you’re seen by the others » pictures
- I love Fight club movie. I adore Calvin & Hobbes. Of course, this article felt in my eyes
- These quotations reminded me so much about college & university.
- I don’t know about you, but I’m completely fed up with the « X habits of successful people » articles. Of course, there are common qualities at stake. But I don’t personally think that reading these will make me more efficient, competent, or whatever. And frankly, I’m not interested. May be I prefer to read what we all should avoid to do.
So… Sorry for the delay1 and I’ll be back soon to talk about Scrum in colors
- nobody is reading but I apologize anyway, we never know… [↩]
